“We” Leadership School: Journalism Lessons for Young People

From July 8 to 14, 2024, the “We” Leadership School was held under the initiative of the “Nor Nakhichevan” Humanitarian Foundation, with this year’s focus on journalism. The program brought together eight university students from Armenia, providing them with the opportunity to acquire valuable knowledge and experience under the guidance of expert instructors.

As part of the program, participants learned the fundamental principles of writing news and analytical articles, methods for data collection, and the use of online data analysis tools.

The courses were conducted by industry experts: founder of the “DonDay” network of information portals, journalist Samvel Nalbandyan, editor-in-chief of the “Nakhichevan-on-Don” newspaper Gevorg Grigoryan, and radio journalist Noemi Andreasyan. Their expertise allowed participants not only to gain theoretical knowledge but also to develop practical skills, which will be of great importance in their future professional careers.

This year’s “We” Leadership School program not only served as a platform for acquiring knowledge in journalism but also contributed to the development of key skills for young journalists, fostering their professional growth.

This initiative is yet another testament to the “Nor Nakhichevan” Humanitarian Foundation’s ongoing mission to support the education and professional development of young people.
