Youth Forum “We and Our Challenges: Diaspora” became an open platform for discussions among young Armenians.

On August 13, 2024, the youth forum “We and Our Challenges: Diaspora,” organized by the charity fund “Nor Nakhichevan” within the framework of the Leadership Club “We,” took place.

The forum brought together young Armenians from Armenia and the Diaspora, providing them with an opportunity to discuss current issues regarding the relations between the Homeland and Armenian communities abroad, as well as to jointly analyze existing challenges and prospects.

The event was opened with a welcoming speech by the director of the “Nor Nakhichevan” charity fund, Mger Ovanisyan, who emphasized the importance of such initiatives in strengthening the ties between Armenia and the Diaspora.

The forum featured presentations by young experts who shared key problems and areas of focus from their respective communities:

  • Nare Madoyan (Don Union of Armenian Youth, Rostov-on-Don) – “The Activities of the ‘Nor Nakhichevan’ Armenian Community in Rostov-on-Don”
  • Ashot Ghougoulian (Don Union of Armenian Youth, Rostov-on-Don) – “The Activities of the Don Union of Armenian Youth”
  • Armine Vermishyan (Don Union of Armenian Youth, Rostov-on-Don) – “Diaspora and Armenia Cooperation: Current Challenges”
  • Samvel Mkhitaryan (Yerevan State University, Yerevan) – “Armenian Diaspora Athletes in Armenia”
  • Satenik Avetisyan (Yerevan State University, Yerevan) – “Modern Armenian Diaspora Media”

Special guests at the forum included representatives from the Don Union of Armenian Youth, who arrived in Armenia. They explored the youth environment in the country and held meaningful discussions with their Armenian peers.

The key outcome of the event was the open dialogue between young Armenians from Armenia and the Diaspora, resulting in the development of joint solutions to overcome challenges. The main concept of the forum was cooperation in an atmosphere of unity and mutual trust.
